Like everyone, I rode bikes as a kid, but discovered mountain bikes in the early '90s. I literally rode off a friend's balcony in Medlow Bath up in the Blue Mountains, onto some walking trail down to a cliff edge; I've never looked back, and still nothing beats single track; the more technical the better.

I have worked in numerous outdoor retail stores, bike shops, climbing shops and other retail jobs. My love of outdoor gear and bike-related stuff lead me into a degree in Industrial Design and eventually here to Dirt Works.

After 10 or so years riding single speed I strongly encourage everyone to break free of the shackles of SRAM and Shimano and get back to a click-free roll. While I am trying to convert you: only drink good beer; get with the big wheels; it's not about winning; think seriously about wearing lycra in public and, for your sake, believe the hype!
